Geena Woodard is a local artist who brings her talents back to Charlotte after a three year project in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born and raised in the Low Country of South Carolina, Geena received a bachelors degree in studio art and education from Converse College.

Upon graduation, Geena used her talents teaching preschool while painting several folk art series. With her initial move to Charlotte in 2004 she applied her creativity and love for art in a wide range of applications. Geena completed several projects for a local construction company including faux finishing paint as well as adding her creative touch to revive everything from decks to furniture. Geena worked in tandem with local Charlotte companies creating digital art & graphics. Her past ventures have included a custom screen printing business, specialty cake company, where she created edible sculptures to match the most intricate designs. Her most recent project had centered around a seasoning and specialty food company, Carolina Table Salt, founded by her and her husband.

Most recently and in true Gypsy-Geena form, she has been working on custom shabby chic art pieces that include old farm wood and glitter, Folk art portraits, as well as exploring new abstract mediums.

Geena is excited to share her love of art with kids of all ages and bring her style and creativity to the south Charlotte area.
