The Tutoring Link believes in creating a positive environment where the students will be encouraged to learn and control their academic world. We base our programs on creating individualized learning plans for each student to help them achieve their full potential in the areas of reading, writing, math and test preparation. We believe that the students will benefit from individualized attention and positive reinforcement, which will increase their self-esteem, motivation and their confidence needed to achieve proficiency in their academic and social skills environment.

Here at The Tutoring Link we will do more than answer your child’s problems in basic homework and project work. We will assess your child’s strengths and weaknesses, prepare an individualized learning program based on your child’s academic needs, and use “hands-on” materials whenever possible.

Post TestsPost tests will show the gains your child has made in each targeted subject area. |

About Us
Laurel Davis, Director of The Tutoring Link, is a special education teacher with over 20 years of experience. She has taught in and out of the classroom and has worked as an advocate for students. Her experience has also made her adept at motivating and inspiring our future generations to excel not only academically, but socially as well. She is certified in the Orton-Gillingham method of language instruction by the Association of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators and is an International Dyslexia Association certified Structured Literacy Interventionist. She holds a B.A. in Educational Psychology and is pursuing a Masters in Teaching. Additionally, she is a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Twist Kids Yoga instructor. She has also studied Brain Gym and Handwriting Without Tears methods.
As an educator and parent she believes each child is a unique individual with their own strengths and talents. Laurel’s creative and compassionate teaching helps students develop confidence and reach their goals by encouraging and celebrating each step along the way to success.

When we started at The Tutoring Link, with Laurel Davis, we knew our son was missing the phonics concept of reading and Laurel came highly recommended. We had already worked with a few tutors with little success and our son often dreaded it. With Laurel, it was a whole different ballgame.
