Multisensory Language Instruction
My son received tutoring services from the Learning Link in Miami Beach, and specifically from Leslie and her team of professionals, for several years while he attended elementary school. My son, who has ADD, was very responsive to the learning environment they created. Both his grades and focus in school greatly improved after he started in their tutoring program.
The progress our daughter has made working with Laurel is phenomenal! She has gone from not having letter recognition at the end of kindergarten to reading just below grade level at the end of second grade. Laurel is amazing and our daughter loves her tutoring sessions. We would recommend her to anyone!
Laurel is a well-trained, dynamic teacher. She easily engages the students she works with and makes learning fun! Laurel is the first person I think of when my clients are in need of individualized tutoring for their child with learning disability/dyslexia.
When we started at The Tutoring Link, with Laurel Davis, we knew our son was missing the phonics concept of reading and Laurel came highly recommended. We had already worked with a few tutors with little success and our son often dreaded it. With Laurel, it was a whole different ballgame. Our son had a blast and was extremely engaged the entire time. He would ask to go, even on days he was not scheduled! We always wondered if he could be dyslexic but never explored it because his teachers and other tutors swore that could not be it. After a few months of working together, Laurel nudged us to get him evaluated and sure enough we found that he is dyslexic (we are forever grateful to Laurel for this). In just nine months of working with Laurel, his reading fluency went up by 50%!!! If you have a child who is struggling or simply needs some extra support, you cannot go wrong with Laurel! She is dedicated, knowledgeable, and shows a passion for her students that is simply unparalleled.
Finding Laurel Davis has been a lifesaver for me. Over the course of the last three years and going she has worked with three of our children in some capacity from tutoring to a supplement to our homeschool curriculum. Along with Laurel’s specialized training and expertise, her exceptional ability to understand and relate well to each child has brought about impressive and encouraging results. We are so thankful to have found her.
My daughter has been working with Laurel Davis twice a week for 9 months. As a result , her reading, comprehension, and confidence has dramatically improved. We have worked with several tutors in the past and Laurel is the best! I highly recommended her services!!!
Laurel’s methods have allowed my daughter to reach her full potential. She is reading two levels above her grade level! She always looks forward to her tutoring sessions.
We have used Laurel for a year now and love her. She is very good with my daughter and keeps it interesting for her. She uses Orton-Gillingham with her because my daughter has auditory processing issues and it works great. She is reliable and easy to be around.
