Seeing the look of “I get it or I did it” on a child’s face after they have successfully used a strategy is one my greatest joys. Empowering a child to be independent and feel in control of their own learning is my goal. I have my Masters in Teaching in special education and work for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. My Orton Gillingham training has proven to be a great resource and guide to successfully teaching children to read and build a love of reading. I am originally from Pensylvania and received my B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh. I live in Charlotte and enjoy spending time with my 21 year old daughter, Madison, singing, dancing, cooking and exploring Charlotte. Debbie works with students K-5 in reading and math.
Amanda has taught all over the world as a teacher with the Peace Corps. She works with K-5 students in reading and math.
